BIOGRAPHY
Zack started playing at the age of 14 professionally all over the Carolinas. In the '80's the group Alabama heard him and was blown away! Chosen by ALABAMA to replace them at the world famous Bowery in Myrtle Beach, SC.
When he made the move to Nashville in 1987 he wrote for Ten Ten Productions for over five years making music history
with hits for names like George Jones - Alan Jackson - Tracy Byrd - Joe Diffie and more including the late great Keith Whitley.
Keith Whitley heard and recorded "I'm Over You" just before his death in May of 1989. RCA released ‘I’m Over You’
and in no time it was a major hit.
Six more BMI award winning songs followed.
Zack joined as a duo with Tim Nichols and released an album called Turner-Nichols.
After a few hits and appearing CMT in 1993 with Moonlight Drive-in and She Loves To Hear Me Rock
Zack decided he preferred to stay out of the limelight so he could focus on his love of writing.
Years of writing and pursuing his own genre preference has given him a list of hits second to none
and he has made them available to the public for the first time.
